Greta Vanstrum is a textile artist whose practice is rooted in traditional, slow processes, a direct reflection of her identity, shaped by yoga, global travel, and a deep respect for the Earth's spiritual soul.
Working by hand with plant-based, honest raw materials in their truest form, Greta seeks to understand and preserve each material's impact and place in the environment, cultivating a meditative dialogue that is often lost in modern production. Color and process serve as a spiritual bridge between the natural environment and our internal well-being, grounding her practice in something both elemental and deeply personal.
Driven by travel, culture, and community, her work honors textile processes while integrating historic, sustainable methods into contemporary life, inviting slow art forms to be seen, appreciated, and rediscovered. At its core, her practice advocates for the simple act of working by hand as a means of fostering healing within our physical spaces.
Greta holds a B.F.A. in Textiles from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
